Silica bricks are acidic refractory materials with SiO₂ as the main component. The SiO₂ content is usually higher than 93%. They have high refractoriness (1710℃-1750℃) and load softening temperature, good volume stability at high temperatures, and strong resistance to acidic slag erosion. Silica bricks can be divided into sintered silica bricks and unfired silica bricks.
Silica bricks are mainly used for the lining of high-temperature equipment such as coke ovens, glass melting furnaces, acid metallurgical furnaces, etc., especially for the carbonization chamber, combustion chamber and other parts of coke ovens.
