Description
Kerui Ferroaluminate cement, also called calcium ferroaluminate cement(CFA), is primarily composed of calcium aluminate (CA) as its main mineral phase, with a rich content of ferrite phase (C4AF). It outperforms Portland cement in multiple aspects, offering rapid setting, fast hardening, quick drying, early strength development, high-temperature resistance, controllable volume changes before and after hardening, as well as resistance to weak acids and bio-sourced sulfuric acid corrosion. Widely applied in chemical building materials, high-performance concrete, sewage and pipeline engineering, mining, refractory materials, and other industries.
Advantages of Kerui Calcium Ferroaluminate Cement
- Superior rapid hardening and early strength
- Excellent high-temperature resistance
- Outstanding wear resistance
- Unique resistance to weak acids and bio-sourced sulfuric acid erosion
Applications of Kerui Calcium Ferroaluminate Cement
Calcium Ferroaluminate Cement has broad applications in underground utility tunnels, urban renewal, marine engineering, low-temperature construction, major infrastructure projects, emergency repairs, and waterproofing.
1. Chemical Building Materials
Used in self-leveling flooring materials, rapid-construction flooring systems, binders for European-style architectural decorations, tile adhesives, tile grouts, sealants, base mortars, and repair mortars.
2. High-Performance Concrete
- Protective surface concrete: Suitable for hydraulic structures in high-temperature/thermal shock environments, abrasion-prone or mechanically impacted areas, industrial weak-acid exposure zones, and bio-corrosive sewage systems.
- Rapid-setting concrete: Ideal for expressways, airport runways, bridge joints, and industrial facilities requiring urgent repairs and immediate use.
- Marine engineering: Resists chemical erosion from SO₄²⁻, Cl⁻, Mg²⁺ ions, seawater scouring, wear, and freeze-thaw cycles.
3. Sewage and Pipeline Engineering
Calcium ferroaluminate cement’s exceptional corrosion resistance and durability make it suitable for sewage pipe linings, anti-corrosion mortar layers in sewage tanks, manholes, pumping stations, and wastewater treatment plants.
4. Mining Industry
- Fast-hardening concrete: For rapid construction in transport tunnels, worksite reinforcements, and equipment foundations.
- Abrasion- and shock-resistant concrete: Applied to shaft linings, loading zones, and protective surface layers for ore silos.
- Acid-resistant concrete: Withstands flowing acidic water corrosion (pH 3.5–4).
- Mining additives: Used as rapid hardeners for goaf backfill materials, solidifiers for mining sludge/waste sand, and quick-setting agents for grouting mortars.
5. Refractory Materials
- Serves as a binder for medium-to-low temperature refractories (refractoriness: 1300°C).
- Formulates high-temperature-resistant and wear-resistant castables.
- Combined with refractory aggregates for specialized applications.
